Both programs certify you in the 12-season method. There are no franchise rules: build your own business, your own way. Drapes and supplies are purchased separately. By enrolling, you agree to our policies.

How it works.

From first class to certified.

Online and Minneapolis training follow the same path to certification. The difference is how you learn: on your own schedule, or live with a small cohort and an in-person practice day.

A look inside the online student hub.
  1. Enroll and get your materials

Online students receive their student hub within 24 hours of purchase. Minneapolis students receive a shared folder of course materials, with class times set once registration closes.

  2. Learn the method

Seven classes, from color theory to business. Online students watch recorded classes at their own pace; Minneapolis students join six live Zoom classes, recorded in case you miss one.

  3. Build your studio kit

A curated list of drapes, lighting, mirrors and racks. Have your drapes in hand by Class 2, when you start using them.

  4. Practice with feedback

Homework after every class sharpens your eye, with answers reviewed along the way and personal feedback on your virtual draping.

  5. Drape real clients

Online: drape real clients on your own, such as friends, family or clients near you. There's no in-studio portion; you record five full analyses and send them in for coaching.

Minneapolis: drape real clients at an in-person practice class in our St. Louis Park studio, with coaching in real time, then record your five full analyses.

  6. Get certified, then keep growing

Complete your homework and five client videos to earn your certificate, followed by a month of mentorship as you take on your first clients.

Estimates only. Supplies are sold by other retailers, who set and change their own prices, so your costs may be higher or lower.

The Stylery Network

After certification, you may apply to join the Stylery Network, an optional membership with client guides, business tools, group coaching and event opportunities. Please inquire for details.

No experience required.

  • Career changers looking for a creative path
  • Stylists adding a new service
  • Makeup artists and hairstylists
  • Entrepreneurs who want a flexible business

Your earning potential

Many analysts charge $150 – 200 per session when starting out, and $350 – 400 with experience. These are typical industry rates, not a promise of income; your results depend on your own effort, market and business.

Good to know.

Should I choose online or Minneapolis training?

Online training is self-paced and starts anytime, with a one-on-one Zoom call and feedback throughout. Minneapolis training is a small hybrid cohort with live Zoom classes and an in-person practice day draping real clients. Both lead to the same certification.

How long does it take?

Online training is self-paced, so you set the timeline. The Minneapolis cohort runs about seven weeks, with 1.5-hour Zoom classes scheduled once registration closes.

When do I get access?

Online students receive access to the student hub within 24 hours of purchase. Course materials are yours for life.

Do I need any experience?

No. The program starts with the foundations of color theory and builds from there.

What do I need to buy?

Professional 12-season drapes and swatch fans, lighting, a mirror and a rack. You'll receive a curated supplies list, and you'll want your drapes by Class 2.

How do I get certified?

Complete all homework and submit full video analyses of five clients. Once you've successfully completed both, you'll receive your certificate of completion.

Can I use my own business name and materials?

Yes. There are no franchise rules, so you're free to build your own business and create your own client guides and materials.

Is the certificate a license?

No. Your certificate recognizes completion of The Stylery's training program. It is not a government license.

Does the training guarantee income?

No. The program teaches skills and methods; it does not guarantee income, clients or business success. Please see our policies.
